Where is Martinique?



Martinique is a Caribbean island, forming part of the Small Antilles, an arc of islands stretching from the Virgin Islands to Venezuela.
The other islands that make up the Small Antilles are the Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, St Martin, St Bartholomew, Anguilla, Antigua, Montserrat, Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago.

Approximately eight hours by plane from continental Europe and from 4 hours departing the USA.

The islands are 5 hours behind Europe and 1 hour behind East Coast US.

Not far from the Equator, Martinique is just below the Tropic of Cancer (P15 L60)

Martinique is an island of volcanic origins with white sandy beaches, turquoise sea, rich tropical forests, mild climate with gentle sea breezes and relaxed atmosphere.
